Today marks exactly 37 years since the Asokore Mamponhene, Nana Boakye Ansah, swore with the Mponponson Sword to Asanteman. He is the Nifahene of Kumase.
The people of Asokore Mampong are Ekuonas. Traditions recount that sometime in the 17th century, these Ekuonas attacked another family, and out of fear of reprisals fled to create present-day Asokore, near Effiduase, while some sought refuge in Mampon.
Through the instrumentality of the first Asantehene, some Ekuonas returned from Asokore and Mampon, and thus the community became known as Asokore-Mampon.
The famous diety, Nyamekese, is located at Asokore Mampong. This is where Dormaahene used to serve as Kradwareni (soul washer).
Nana Boakye Debra is an architect by profession. In recognition of his sterling contributions to Asanteman, the Asokore Mamponhene has now been given the privilege to wear golden sandals.
The famous Osei Tutu II Affordable Houses is located in Asokore Mampong, notable institutions in Asokore Mampong include; Kumasi Academy (KUMACA), Central University, Kumasi campus, and the Headquarters of Calvary Charismatic Church (CCC), CBS Supreme Industries, Vitafoam etc.

All you will have to do is to get the location of the Grand Lodge of Ghana. Be ready to pay the due or admission they will request. After that find their telephone line and start booking an appointment with the community. The Freemasonry only meets twice every month. Not more than 2 months in every month. If it happens to be more than 2 then it’s urgent. After arranging a meeting with the members of the freemason community, they will start to investigate about you if they can trust you and also check if you are worth enough to be a member.
